诺富特大使 首尔江南‘Sommelier’s Menu’ at the bistro’

The European restaurant ‘the bistro’ at Novotel Ambassador Gangnam celebrates  the award of best sommelier of Korea for 2010 and featuers a special sommelier’s menu from August 1.

Ms. Hwang Ji-mi, the sommelier of the bistro, has been selected as the best sommelier of Korea for 2010 on July 13 at the 9th feat of Korea Sommelier Competition sponsored by SOPEXA.

Hwang, also with a certificate of French national sommelier, proved at the competition her expertise in knowledge of wine and will provide the finest collection of wine for the guests.

As a celebrtion of Hwang’s accomplishment, the European restaurant offers a special menu that combines the finest delicacy and wine recommended by Hwang and the chief sommelier of the restaurant, Mr. Kim Suk-hwan.

‘Somerlier’s Menu’ features appetizers of basil cream with Baby green Fried leek and eggplant and Chickpeas soup with parma ham while Roasted Australian Beef Tenderloin And crushed black pepper with red wine sauce Parmasan polenta wrapped with green asparagus,Grilled mushroom and vine ripe tomato.

Pan-fried Sea bass with Seafood Cream Bisque Saffron Mashed potato, Vegetable Capellini and Green salad are available as the main dishes to choose from. Blueberry mousse with berry coulis and maranchino cherry are added as the dessert. The 4-course menu will be enjoyed along with a special French wine. The special set menu is available at 80,000won.

The special sommelier’s menu also serves a glass of wine during each dish of the course dining. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label will start the course menu and the sea bass main dish will bring  a white wine ‘Chablis Premier Cru Montmain 2007’ while a red wine, Thomas Barton Margaux 2007 will be served with the steak main dish.

The wines served with the sommelier’s menu are all premium class of French wines and widely
